Service Coordinator
Plan and coordinate field service resources, material and equipment. material planning. Maintain and grow ERP service module to scale with increasing install base and ongoing warranty and billable service activity. Work with finance department to ensure all material inventory and invoices are properly transacted. Apply practical knowledge of field service management systems and operations to support field service technicians, engineers & management.
Requirments
Minimum Associate's degree in Business or Engineering 2. Minimum three years experience managing projects within manufacturing or service organizations. 3. Practical knowledge of industrial or civil works including subcontractor management. 4. Experience with ERP systems, particularly service modules, inventory control, document control, etc.
Duties include:
- Maintenance of customer installation database to log new system components and maintain historic record of material and labor transactions.
- Manage service schedule resources, equipment and inventory to efficiently dispatch service personnel.
- Maintenance of ERP system service module to create service calls, maintain warranty status, and record all labor
and material consumption. - Coordinate service inventory cycle counting audits. Work with manufacturing personnel to properly transact all
service and installation material. - Provide quotations and manage field service reports to invoice for service work done on Time & Material basis.
- Work with financial department to create and issue invoices for service department revenue generation.
- Interface with customers prior to and following service calls to meet both customer and company expectations.
- Providing logistical support to ensure service staff has adequate tools, equipment, parts, training and security
clearances. - Interact with customers with the intent of selling service and warranty contracts.
- Provide financial reports and statistical analysis to department manager regarding material and labor consumption
for each customer install site. - Sometimes demanding domestic and international travel to support service sales and subcontracting agreements.
Software Engineer I, Power Plant Applications
Working closely with the Project Manager for Applications Development as well as technical consultants, this person is responsible for developing applications software aimed at providing actionable information to power plant operators. This individual will translate customer and product requirements into robust software code, using established software development processes to document and release software applications on schedule.
Requirments
- Develop, validate, and release applications software per product requirements and per established project schedule
- Work with Project Manager, power plant customers, and technical consultants to help develop product requirements
- Support the maintenance and on-going improvement of previously released applications software
- Generate, validate and execute engineering changes
- Use established revision control and product development processes and work with Director of Engineering to continually improve these processes
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science required
- Minimum of three years of windows based programming experience with detailed knowledge of imperative programming languages (e.g. C, C++, Java and/or VB). Experience with PI System preferred.
- Previous experience with power plant or other heavy industry control systems is strongly desired.
- Ability to construct test utilities and/or to automate tests by writing software
- Knowledge of software development methodologies including requirements, code documentation, validation testing, and revision control
- Directly applicable experience with LabVIEW is desirable
- Good investigative, organizational and communication skills also required
