Zolo is awarded Navy Phase II SBR

Boulder, Colorado – 31 May, 2005 – Zolo Technologies, Inc. announces that they have been awarded a Navy Phase II SBIR contract to further develop Zolo’s multiplexed spectroscopy sensor technology for combustion optimization and control for the aeropropulsion market. Applications of the technology include efficiency improvement and emissions reduction for high-end afterburning military gas turbine engines. “Utilization of these government funds allows us to leverage heavy private investment in Zolo to provide unique technology to the government, and to further our goal to revolutionize aeropropulsion by enabling efficiency increases and simultaneous reductions in the emission of pollutants,” says Dr. Andy Sappey Zolo’s CTO and principal scientist on the project. The two-year Phase II contract is worth approximately $750k.
