ZOLO TECHNOLOGIES NAMED ONE OF FIVE MOST PROMISING COMPANIES
Boulder, Colorado –1 December, 2006–Zolo Technologies was named one fo the five most promising companies at the seventh Energy Venture Fair in the heart of Silicon Valley.

According to Energy Issues Newsletter: "With over 70 presenting companies...conference attendees were asked to vote for the most promising companies." The newsletter continued:

Zolo Technologies improves coal power plant performance by modifying the combustion control system. Zolo has developed a unique laser-based sensor that directly measures the combustion process in a coal-fired power plant. Zolo points out that fuel-injectors, which rely on sensors for oxygen, timing, etc., have dramatically increased the performance of cars when compared to carburetors. In an analogous sense, coal-fired power plants can significantly improve the performance of their boilers given Zolo's combustion sensor. The ability to directly measure the combustion process enables emissions reductions, increased efficiency, and improved reliability / up-time. Zolo's first commercial installs have proven the reliability of the product and demonstrated NOx reductions of 25 percent, leading to an ROI measured in months.
