Zolo Technologies, Inc. Sells Second System to South Korea’s Largest Coal-Fired Power Plant
BOULDER, Colorado – April 18, 2008 –South Korea’s largest coal-fired power producer, Yeonghung Thermal Power Plant, awarded Zolo Technologies with a second order for a ZoloBOSS™. The first system was installed in Unit 1 in February 2008 and the second system for Unit 2 will be finished with installation in early June 2008. This marks the first international installation of the ZoloBOSS system for Zolo Technologies.
The plant will receive data from measurements of constituents in the combustion zone, the superheater and the economizer. The ZoloBOSS will enable Yeonghung Thermal Power Site to monitor and adjust to boiler imbalances, decrease their NOx emissions, and, ultimately, optimize their combustion for efficiency.
